My name is Micki Baker. I've always had an interest in computers and the Internet and have worked with them since a young adult. It's simply amazing how technology allows us to create graphics and designs with a series of codes and values. Now, at the age of 40 (or so) I've experimented with .htmls, .jpgs, .gifs and much more teaching myself how to create a very exciting and active website. "If this all sounds greek to you then I can help." I built my first website about 10 years ago. At the time I was crafting and selling gifts, so I made myself a website to promote my business, complete with a shopping cart and buy now buttons linked to my PayPal account. Since then I've created several websites and found that I really enjoy it and can offer them to others for much less then most web designers charge. When I began creating websites I was lucky to find a Domain and Hosting company that was so easy to work with. DomainNameSanity was formed in the year 2000 by a group of Internet enthusiasts and entrepreneurs who believe that the system for registering domain names, obtaining a web site and getting e-mail is so chaotic and expensive that the average Internet user is often confused or unaware of affordable possibilities. The founders believed there should be a simple, inexpensive way for the average Internet user to have a website on the Internet and that the inexpensive way should include a package of services including unique domain names, a hosted web site and emails addressed to their own easy-to-remember domain name. My goal is to provide you with a website design that works well with your situation. Rather it be a starter site, which would be about 3 informational pages, or a very detailed site which may include a shopping cart or a fill-in form, I can help. Since Micks Designs and DomainNameSanity have teamed up, we can provide you with everything you need for a fully functional website of your own. Not only can I get your website up and running but I can also help you through the steps to set up a PayPal account so that you can except credit cards or your bank account for direct deposits. I think everyone should have their own website. Not only is it a good way to promote a company, service or items you would like to sell, but a website is a great way to tell viewers all about you, how to contact you, what's new with you, updates and changes in schedules or appointments. I know that these days make it very hard to get even day-to-day things done, not to mention designing, creating and setting up a website and email, so I can help! Then what?
